Re-create a natural environment for your pet with NewCal Compressed Coconut Coir. Made from the by-product of coconut, this finely shredded fiber is ideal for humid hides, lay boxes, soft bedding and moisture-retaining soil additive.

• Ideal for tropical lizards, snakes, hermit crabs, skinks, tortoises and other animals as a substrate for humid hides, lay boxes or comfortable bedding.
• Moisture retaining and absorbent while being mould resistant.
• Creates less dust when compared to wood shavings.
• Expands up to 5x the dry brick weight when placed in water.

Instructions:

• Break into chunks as desired, then place into a large container, bucket, wheelbarrow, etc…
• Add warm water until saturated, allowing it to absorb into the product. Break up larger chunks for quicker absorbtion and even distribution.
• When the product is completely saturated, drain (if necessary) and allow to dry to desired moisture level.
