Newcal Pets

Founded in 2019

We were in search of an alternative way to keep our animals – a method that was more natural than what was readily available at the time. We were unable to find a consistently reliable retailer that had what we were looking for, and so we decided to find a variety of substrates, seed pods and leaves ourselves.

We didn’t realize at the time what we had started, but once the ball got rolling, it wouldn’t stop. Many within animal husbandry communities wanted these hand-picked products, and so we started NewCal for a community who wanted to Bring Nature Home™.

Our products

Our fascination with the natural world doesn’t just end with the animals we care for. Finding that there were few sources of natural materials readily available, we decided to start NewCal Pet to make a higher level of husbandry more accessible.
